DS9 Season 6 I rather like that one. And just out of curiosity Locutes, what would you consider the ones posted as TNG/DS9/VOY to be?

I like the actual ENT Dress uniform (not the one that we thought was the uni before). It's similar to the jumpsuit but nicer and links to TNG in that it's a one piece. |

I like INS myself, but that's because I think it is in keeping with more traditional dress/formal uniform of the modern militaries (I am assuming SF is a military, I don't fancy going into THAT debate), but I have always wondered if we assume each era of ST seen on screen has a duty and dress uniform, how come we didn't see one in TWOK onwards during the films? I have always wondered what they would look like if they had them....*muses to himself* |

My favorite is a tie between INS and TMP...they both look similar to duty uniforms but are different in their own right. INS appears to be the equevalent of a mess dress which is a military tuxedo. TMP seems to be a semi formal dress uniform. The coat and tie uniforms in todays military are for semiformal occasions. We could probably assume that Starfleet has two types of dress uniforms. We have just not seen them on screen. |
